What glue should I use?
Good glue makes a huge difference. I mean, you aren’t going to be very happy with your false lash experience if they keep falling off, right? My favorite glue is Tarteist eyelash adhesive by Tarte, they make it in both white and black.
Make sure to always, always keep a spare tube of adhesive and tweezers in your makeup bag when you wear strips. You do not want to be stuck without a touch up kit if the lash lifts. Generally, you may see lifting in the inner and outer corners of the eye because that is where most of the activity of the eye occurs, such as tears, squinting from smiling and other expressions that may move the eye.
What if I have sensitive eyes? If you have issues with lash adhesive, try a latex-free adhesive such as Tarteist.
How long do they last?
This does vary a bit from case to case. Depending on how much glue you used (and how good of a bond you have), they should last through the end of the night, however, I have had some customers wear them from week to week (Saturday to Saturday).
Can I reuse my lashes?
Yes! If you don’t use mascara when you wear your lashes, you can reuse them up to 25 times. Just use tweezers to pull the dried lash glue from the lashes after you remove them and store them in their original case until you want to use them again.
However, it is important to make sure that those lashes are clean. You can get eye infections from dirty falsies coming into contact with your eyes.
How to Remove False Eyelashes?
The number one rule is to never ever tug the false eyelashes. Tugging can damage your natural lashes and they can fall off. Can you straighten fake eyelashes?
Take an eyelash brush or clean mascara applicator and brush out the eyelash from the base (where the adhesive is applied) upward, as if applying real mascara. This should straighten out any clumps or bends in the lashes.
How do you trim eyelashes?
Trim from the outside corner after measuring the lash to your eye prior to applying the glue.
